Description:     Many companies, departments, and project teams need to share information and collaborate on projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner. In this course, you will learn how to use Windows SharePoint Services to create virtual team Web sites to enable information sharing and collaboration between project team or department members.

 

Days:                1

 

Prerequisites:  Students should be familiar with using personal computers and have used a mouse and keyboard.  You should be comfortable in the Windows environment and be able to use Windows to manage information on your computer. Specifically, you should be able to launch and close programs; navigate to information stored on the computer; and manage files and folders.

·         Use a Simple Workflow on a document

·         Set Alerts on a Library or Document

·         Use an RSS feed on a Library

·         Delete and Recover a Document

Lesson 3: My Site

·         Use My Site

·         Edit Your Profile Details

Lesson 4: Searching in SharePoint

·         Search for documents

·         Search for people

·         Use advanced search

Lesson 5: Creating a New Site

·         Create a New SharePoint Site

·         Add and remove web parts

·         Add a theme to your site

·         Modify the page image

·         Delete a Site

Lesson 6: Site Permissions

·         Create site groups

·         View group membership

·         Add users to groups

·         View and edit group permissions

Lesson 7: Adding Lists and Libraries

·         Create Additional Libraries

·         Create Custom Lists

Lesson 8: Working with Views

·         Understand Views

·         Create a custom view

·         Display a list or library using a view

·         Modify a view
