Job Description

CompuWorks is the Boston area’s leading Microsoft Office training company. We train over 20,000 students annually on Microsoft Office and/or Microsoft related technologies. Our Microsoft Office trainers are some of the most knowledgeable, skilled and requested professionals in the region.

The selected candidate will possess advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products. This includes Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio, and InfoPath is a plus. The Microsoft Office trainer will work with the Training Director, various managers and the Sales staff to deliver training to CompuWorks’ clients and staff. They will also be responsible to create training guides, course documentation, quick reference guides and FAQ's as needed. The Microsoft Office applications trainer is a team oriented position and the selected candidate will occasionally assist with the response to the user support needs via direct support to end users. The Microsoft Office applications trainer should possess a broad understanding of Microsoft Office applications and have the ability to quickly learn other software including custom software.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

·         Conduct on-going, regular Microsoft Office training classes for various clients and conduct one-on-one sessions as needed on Microsoft Office and other desktop application software.

·         Assess training needs based upon organizational and business unit goals and prescribe appropriate learning solutions using a variety of delivery methods.

·         Plans and implements training associated with new technology deployments and upgrades.

·         Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to develop curriculum, design courses and create materials to develop and implement learning solutions that will improve business performance.

·         Ability to develops and maintains instructor-led, self-taught and possibly eLearning training curricula and related training materials (i.e., Quick Reference Guides, Training Documents, etc.).

·         Maintains personal knowledge of current trends in training, technology and applications and makes recommendations for enhancements to programs as appropriate.

                                               

Training and Qualifications

·         A Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4+ years experience in related field, including experience training in a group settings and supporting computer applications, or any combination of training, education and experience which provides similar knowledge, abilities and skills.

·         Five years PC-related training experience required, prefer training experience in an organizational or enterprise environment.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills.

·         Demonstrated knowledge of training methods and best practices for user training on application software including thorough understanding of training techniques on Microsoft Office Applications. MOS and MCAS Certification a big plus.

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

·         Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

·         Excellent working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications in a corporate environment.

·         Exposure to Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft SQL, HTML, Adobe Product Suite a plus.

·         Keen interest and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

·         Ability to learn new technology quickly and Strong client service orientation.
